Investing in Community Health Centers today grows healthier communities tomorrow.

About National Health Center Week

National Health Center Week (NHCW) is an annual celebration that highlights the vital role Community Health Centers (CHCs) play in improving the health and well-being of communities across the country. Each year, health centers, partners, and supporters come together to raise awareness of the essential services CHCs provide and the impact they have on increasing access to care.

Community Health Centers serve as a cornerstone of our healthcare system—providing high-quality, affordable, and comprehensive care to millions of patients, regardless of their ability to pay. From primary care and preventive services to behavioral health and dental care, CHCs ensure that individuals and families have access to the care they need to live healthier lives.

In Tennessee, CHCs are on the front lines of care, reaching rural and underserved communities, reducing health disparities, and strengthening local economies. National Health Center Week is a time to celebrate these contributions and recognize the patients, providers, and partners who make this work possible.

Tennessee Campaign Theme: “Planting the Seeds for Better Health”

This year’s theme for Tennessee, “Planting the Seeds for Better Health,” reflects the long-term impact of investing in Community Health Centers and the communities they serve.

Just like a seed needs care, resources, and the right environment to grow, healthy communities require access to affordable, high-quality healthcare. When we invest in Community Health Centers, we are planting the seeds for stronger, healthier futures by expanding access to care, improving health outcomes, and creating lasting change.

Health centers nurture individuals and families at every stage of life by providing preventive care, managing chronic conditions, and addressing social needs and economic obstacles to health. Over time, these efforts take root and grow into healthier communities where people can thrive.

By supporting CHCs, we are cultivating a healthier tomorrow.
