Erlanger Community Health Centers is recruiting a Medical Director to oversee its urban FQHC with 4 locations in downtown Chattanooga. The ideal candidate would be board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and would provide day-to-day resources for medical services and be able to manage complex medical conditions and disorders for adults.
Position Overview
- Responsible for providing leadership, oversight and guidance for the health center’s medical affairs
- Guiding the development and implementation of medical policies, practices, and clinical programs to ensure the attainment of quality, service and cost targets
- Building and supporting effective collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Insuring optimal operating effectiveness and strategic positioning
Education, Training, & Experience
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Ability to obtain an active medical license in the State of Tennessee
- 5+ years in progressively responsible healthcare leadership roles
- Experience with other Federally Qualified Health Centers

- Established FQHC practice model with 4 locations in downtown Chattanooga
- Outpatient duties in a fast-paced environment
- FQHC provides comprehensive community services such as primary care, pediatrics, dental care, pharmacy and social work
- Position will provide medical directorship to Community Health Centers providers
