TPCA Scholarships for UCI Fellowships

Scholarship Coverage & Payment Details

The TPCA scholarship will cover the $15,500 tuition, along with a $2,000 stipend to the health center to support the provider's full participation.

  • Tuition payment will be made directly to UCI.
  • Participation stipend will be paid to your employer.

    Are you eligible?

     
    TPCA scholarships are open to prescribing providers in a primary care setting that:

    • Are in Tennessee
    • Serve all patients, no matter their ability to pay
    • Accept a wide range of insurance plans, including TennCare and Medicare
    • Offer income-based payment options for uninsured patients

        
      Eligible providers may work in a variety of settings, such as:

      • Community health centers
      • Charity clinics that serve uninsured patients
      • Rural health clinics
      • Private practices working with underserved communities
          

      You do not have to be a TPCA member to apply.

           
        Application Process

        This process requires that you complete a UCI Fellowship application AND a TPCA Scholarship application.

        1. Review and complete a Fellowship application for the UCI School of Medicine Fellowship program you would like to attend.
           
          In the TNT online application, there will be a place to indicate that you are applying for a scholarship through TPCA. 

        2. Follow this link to complete the TPCA Scholarship Application and attach a copy of your CV/resume.
           
          In the TPCA online scholarship application, there will be a place to indicate which fellowship program you have applied for.

        3. TPCA will review your scholarship application when you have been accepted into a UCI fellowship program.

        4. Notices of scholarship awards will be sent to you and your employer. 
            
        5. TPCA will send a Memorandum of Understanding for you and your employer to sign to receive the scholarship.

        Employer Approval and Support  Please ensure you have obtained the necessary approval from your employer before submitting either the fellowship or scholarship application. You may need to adjust your patient schedule to facilitate your attendance at all instructional sessions.


        Post-Training Employment          We hope that upon completing the training cohort, participants will continue their employment for at least 12 months.
