Physician in Franklin, TN
Mercy Community Healthcare has an opening for a full-time MD/DO board certified or eligible to be board certified in family medicine in the state of Tennessee. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those we serve in our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations, including psychosocial, functional and development assessment for children and adults.
- Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic studies.
- Develop differential diagnoses.
- Develop/order therapeutic plan of care.
- Maintain patient records in accordance with MCH policies.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances.
- Perform clinic-based procedures within the scope of Primary Care.
- Evaluate patient's response to plan of care and modify as needed.
- Provide patient/family counseling and education.
- Arrange for patient referrals/consultations.
- Provide on-call responsibilities as established by MCH.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants, medical, APN and PA students.
- Reports to CMO.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- MD or DO from appropriately accredited institution.
- Unrestricted Medical License in the State of Tennessee
