The Value of Fostering a Culture of Inclusion
Session Speaker: Kristie Tobias, Huron
At some point in time, we have all been in a situation where our values and who we are have required us to stand up for ourselves and the people around us. When you feel like your voice is heard, there is a camaraderie and an understanding that brings you together with those around you. During these times of great change and urgency, it can be easy to move quickly throughout our daily activities and lose the value and heart of connection and engagement with each other.

Kristie will bring us back to what connects us to the people we are and the work we do every day and the value we provide to the people we serve, our patients, customers, and our peers we work with every day. Kristie will share how we can reconnect to The Value of Fostering a Culture of Inclusion by helping us walk through the following:
  • Understanding the impact of fostering value and building trust in our environments.
  • Creating awareness of factors that can reduce trust and value such as biases.
  • Define and own the role we play in fostering an environment where we feel like our voices are valued and heard.

Join Kristie as she walks us through how to become an adaptable leader in a change-ready environment by guiding us through the following:
  • Understanding your response to a changing environment,

Attendees will explore various components of the revenue cycle that have an impact on this critical aspect of the health center such as scheduling, CPT/HCPC Code selection, payor contracts, and denials management. Learn about key components related to patient service revenue and what can be considered to help position health centers on solid ground.

The information will be outlined in a user-friendly format that can serve as a reference for application consideration upon returning to your health center. It will also be provided in a format that can be utilized by Community Health Center executives.
