Telehealth
Telehealth is the delivery of health-related services and information through telecommunication.
TPCA’s telehealth program allows thousands of virtual encounters each year to take place quickly and affordably, allowing patients to see specialists without traveling from their local communities. In addition to clinical uses, participating health centers can access administrative videoconferences, training, and educational opportunities for their staff members through the network. TPCA operates the oldest statewide, continuously-operational telehealth network in Tennessee.
Our network connects originating end points (patient sites) to distant end points (provider sites) across the state. In addition to medical interpretation, we offer the following specialty care services:
- Psychology
- Psychiatry (Adult and Pediatric)
- Dermatology
- Infectious Disease
- Gastroenterology
- Neurology
- Nutrition
We can also provide Community Health Centers with:
- Telehealth program design (free consultation)
- Used/new telehealth carts, with delivery, setup, and training
- Virtual rooms for videoconferencing between carts, conference rooms, computers, smart phones, and tablets. These can be used to connect quickly to outside or internal sites.
