Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support in the planning and coordination of human resource activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as recruitment support services, records coordination and other administrative aspects of the department.&nbsp;<br /> &nbsp;<br /> <strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> The following are indicative of the essential functions required to perform this job successfully: <ol style="list-style-type:lower-roman;"> <li value="5">Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions;</li> <li value="5">Assists with completion of Form I-9, verifies documentation and maintains I-9 files; submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks and verifications;</li> <li value="5">Assists with recruitment efforts including, pre-screening, setting interviews and tracking candidate status);</li> <li value="5">Makes photocopies; mails, scans, emails documents; performs other clerical functions including, preparing new hire, orientation and insurance and benefits materials;</li> <li>Assists in maintaining accurate and up to date personnel files across all non-executive level departments; ensuring all personnel files are maintained with prescribed documentation according to MHC&rsquo;s practices and policies; and creating personnel files for new hires; daily document filing;</li> <li value="5">Scheduling and preparation of meetings including, Centerwide, New Hire Orientation, Board Personnel Committee and other HR related meetings;</li> <li value="5">Assists the Director and Generalist with day to day HR functions (i.e., preparing employee correspondence, checking HR voicemail, tracking trainings and staff meeting attendance);</li> <li value="5">Assists with enrolling employees in all Company benefits;</li> <li value="5">Answers verification of employment and salary requests from outside agencies and submit responses in a timely manner;</li> <li value="5">Assists with processing and submission of newly hired employee&rsquo;s information into the payroll system; serves as the point of contact for employee changes in demographic, financial, time and attendance and password resets in the payroll system;</li> <li value="5">Assists with taking and transcribing meeting minutes;</li> <li value="5">Serves as backup in the absence of the Human Resources Generalist;</li> <li value="5">Performs all other duties assigned by HR Department.</li> </ol>

Requirements <strong><u>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:</u></strong><br /> High school diploma or GED required;<br /> Associates degree in Human Resources or related field preferred;<br /> 1 year of work experience in Human Resources or related field preferred.
