This Connections feature introduces readers to two TPCA staff members in each issue. This month has two star connections: learn who's related to a country music superstar and who's husband is an Oscar winner!

 Sara Holifield

Training Coordinator

Responsibilities include determining the content, format, speakers and agendas for educational offerings; providing onsite management for educational events; and serving as the point of contact for educational opportunities and special populations..

I've worked at TPCA since ... October 2012. I had to hit the ground running because I started three weeks before our Annual Conference!

In my spare time, I enjoy ... reading, traveling, writing, and home organization projects..

My favorite part of working with health centers is ... seeing the dedication and commitment they have to serving the most vulnerable people in our state.

A personal goal ... I'd love to write a trashy romance novel!

You may not know ... I lived in New Zealand for two years. That's where I met my husband, who was on the team that won an Oscar for Best Sound Editing for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. I'm also a great tap dancer!

 Sharon Davis

Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities include providing administrative support for human resources and supporting TPCA accounting activities.

I've worked at TPCA since ... July 2015.

In my spare time, I enjoy ... being outside -- hiking, camping -- and hanging out with friends and family.

My favorite part of working with health centers is ... Even though my connection with the health centers is small, I still see how TPCA works with the health centers to support them in caring for those who would otherwise not have an option for receiving care..

A personal goal ... I am going back to school in January to obtain my accounting degree. It has been on my bucket list for several years, and I am finally taking the steps to make it a reality. Super excited!

You may not know ... I have a country superstar in my bloodline. Lester Flatt was my "Big Daddy's" (granddad's) first cousin. My dad can remember the tour bus coming in and everyone sitting around playing and singing into the next morning!
