TPCA will be hosting a 3-day Advanced Lean Healthcare training session August 16-18, 2022. The $65 registration fee includes light breakfast snacks and lunch for each day of the training session.

SESSION DESCRIPTION
You’ve done the lean basics. You’ve observed work, fixed the broken equipment, rearranged the supplies, and started defining new standard work. Now you are having problems with sustaining the straight-forward improvements or identifying, prioritizing, and solving the remaining, more complex problems throughout a department, clinic or entire hospital.

Join us for this 3-day intensive program that will give participants a hands-on, learn-by-doing experience in learning and applying advanced lean tools to sustain and continuously improve organizational performance and team engagement.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Write detailed standard work documentation using Job Breakdown format.
  • Describe different types of metrics and their appropriate uses in improvement efforts.
  • Create a Pareto chart for prioritizing improvement activities.
  • Define special and common cause variation and describe the appropriate response to each.
  • Construct a run chart and test it for stability.
  • Utilize a Histogram to investigate variation in process performance.
  • Explain the need for management systems and behaviors to sustain gains from improvement activities.
  • Describe huddle boards and performance boards to sustain gains and drive continued improvement.
