About the Session |
The Tennessee Department of Health provides training and funding for PrEP navigators across the state. PrEP navigators are health care specialists who can help people interested in PrEP learn more about the medication, find a medical provider, locate a pharmacy, apply for financial assistance, and incorporate the daily regimen into their lives.
PrEP navigators assist primary care providers by helping patients with PrEP adherence and access. This session will discuss the role of PrEP navigators and how to access navigator services in each region of Tennessee. |
|
Intended Audience |
Any clinician or CHC staff involved in HIV/AIDS care including medical care, case management, and support services, or those working in a clinic that offers pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). |
