Session Description
Strategic planning can advance health center excellence by focusing on innovation and performance improvement in seven key domains: access and affordability; patient experience; quality; patient care and safety; population health and social determinants of health; financial sustainability; workforce; and governance and management.
This session will help workforce leaders in community health centers develop processes to proactively anticipate and respond to current and future hiring needs.
Session Objectives
• Health center workforce professionals will create a detailed analysis of the short- and long-term talent pipeline for each occupational priority area;
• Health center workforce professionals will establish defined roles for the health center and its partners, as it relates to workforce development; and
• Health center workforce professionals will offer T/TA opportunities for internal capacity building within the health center.
About the Speaker
Alexia Eslan has extensive expertise with leadership development, project management, facilitation and strategic planning, providing technical assistance and training as well as formative research and evaluation. She has led dozens of projects at JSI focusing on these components and working with multiple stakeholders at a local, state and national level. Her passion is to help communities and clients thrive through tailored and innovative approaches that involve all voices. She is skilled in the Institute of Cultural Affairs Techniques of Participation (ToP) Strategic Planning, the NCQA Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) 2017 Standards, as well as in LEAN and Six Sigma. Ms. Eslan holds an MBA in Health Administration.
