Webinar Description
The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is notoriously complex, but this course will enable you to navigate it with confidence. By the end of the course, you will understand how to perform the most fundamental functions, including complying with the notice and policy requirements, determining employee eligibility, calculating and tracking FMLA leave, avoiding pitfalls during leave, and returning the employee to work. In this webinar, attorney Todd McKee with McKenzie Laird Ottinger & Leach PLLC will identify and address questions surrounding FMLA, including those key issues for identifying and understanding the most common forms of FMLA.

About the instructor: Todd McKee has practiced law in Nashville since 1996. He spent his first eight years in law as a litigator focusing on employment and complex commercial lawsuits. He spent the following eight years as an in-house general counsel at Meharry Medical College and an international aid nonprofit. Since 2012, he has practiced law at McKenzie Laird PLLC focusing on employment, nonprofit, and general business law. He also serves as a lecturer at the Center for Nonprofit management and as an adjunct professor at Lispcomb University.
