TPCA has welcomed four new staff members in recent months: Sara Hill, training coordinator; Tari Lewis, finance director; Liz Affleck, staff accountant; and Devin Rush, program specialist. Sara Hill joined the TPCA staff in May as training coordinator. She previously served as preschool ministry administrator at ClearView Baptist Church and has prior experience as an events coordinator with NavPress and Lifeway Christian Resources. Hill holds a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Tarleton State University (Texas) and a master’s degree in ministry-based evangelism from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Tari H. Lewis will assume the duties of finance director in December, and will oversee accounting, financial management, contracts and grants, procurement and billing, and financial reporting. Prior to TPCA, Lewis served as the chief financial officer of the Police Foundation, where she oversaw all accounting functions, numerous federal and private foundation grants, contracts, treasury and risk management and financial reporting.  Her work experience also includes 20-plus years with Frasier, Dean & Howard, PLLC, as director of tax research services. Her work focused primarily on consulting with and transactions of nonprofit organizations and the entities that support them. Lewis holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The Ohio State University. She is a certified public accountant and a member of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, and has led numerous training sessions in the area of nonprofit taxation.

Liz Affleck joined TPCA as staff accountant in October after working the previous two years as a staff accountant at O’Neil Hagaman, PLLC. A certified public accountant, Affleck also worked as an accountant at Landmark Properties Inc. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia College & State University, and a master’s degree in accounting from Mercer University (Georgia).

Devin Rush began working as TPCA’s program specialist in September, but she is no stranger to TPCA having completed two internships here in the past. She completed her first internship in 2013 when she was in high school, and the second internship was completed in 2015 with the outreach and enrollment team. Rush received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and community and global health from Kalamazoo College (Michigan) in June.

TPCA also has named Shatiqua Jamerson, who previously served as oral health coordinator, to the newly created position of health care access program manager. Jamerson has been with TPCA since 2013.
