Each year, Chota Community Health Services (CCHS) hosts a free health fair to help promote health and wellness in the Monroe County area. The 2018 health fair took place in May. Together, CCHS and students from the Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University provided free medical services to 143 members of the Monroe County community.

The free services offered during the health fair included health screenings, physical exams, diabetic eye exams, pap smears, and basic fasting labs. The Vein Center provided free, quickcan ultrasounds for varicose veins. MEDIC was on site for blood donations. Knoxville Comprehensive Breast Center was on site providing mammograms at a discounted rate. Many community businesses and organizations attended as vendors to share information about their organizations and services with people who attended the event.
