
The Outreach and Enrollment
program of Tennessee Primary Care Association focuses on increasing
the number of people who use community health centers as their regular
source of health care and promotes TennCare coverage and access to
care for all underserved and uninsured individuals in Tennessee as
well as the strengthening of outreach and enrollment programs at community
health centers.

Statewide
TennCare Conference Call- The Outreach program hosts four conference
calls a year on the current state of TennCare in Tennessee. These
conference calls take place quarterly. For members who are interested

HEALTH
CENTER STAFF DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS
The
outreach program plans and provides training to community health
centers. We develop and offer on-site workshops focused on Outreach,
Customer Service and various related topics that meet the learning
needs of health center staff. The following is a list of the workshops
we offer:

Basic
Customer Skills
o This workshop focuses on the basic
patient customer service skills that are essential to
delivering outstanding customer service.

Handling
Difficult Patients
o From dealing with irate callers to
reading between the lines. This workshop focuses on
dealing with difficult and demanding patients.

Running
the Front Desk
o This workshop focuses on the simplification
of the office, from utilizing time better or sharpening
your communication skills. This workshop focuses on key parts to
running an effective front desk.

TennCare
Program
o This workshop gives the basic information
of the Tennessee TennCare program.

The
Governor's New TennCare Grace Period
o This workshop focuses on the governor's
new grace period (see details)

March 17, 2003 to March 31, 2004.
