TennHelp.com
TennHelp.com's new "No Health Insurance?"search process is straightforward and entirely free. Users simply visit www.tennhelp.com and follow three easy steps to obtain a general list of health or mental health providers in their county or zip code. (Prescription drug assistance programs are included in the "Health" category.) Within the general list, many agencies are marked with an easy-to-see medical icon, indicating that they offer reduced-rate or free care to low-income or uninsured Tennesseans.

Because all TennHelp.com listings include agency addresses, phone numbers, descriptions, and other information, users will easily be able to contact providers and determine their eligibility for reduced-rate or free care.

TennHelp.com's "No Health Insurance?" database will continue to expand in the coming months as additional health-care providers offering reduced-rate or free services are identified. The overall TennHelp.com website, including over 3,800 agencies, will soon also be available in Spanish.

TennHelp.com , launched in 2003 as a joint project of the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services (TALS) , the National Association of Social Workers, Tennessee Chapter and the Tennessee Department of Children's Services , uses the internet to connect Tennesseans in need with relevant social-service providers in their area. Users may select from 21 categories of assistance, including housing, children's issues, and immigration issues. Neither personal information nor fees are required to use TennHelp.com.
