The Governor wants to make
sure that those who didn't respond at all are truly not eligible
for TennCare. So, he has decided there will be a grace period.
A grace period gives people
who did not respond another chance to prove they are eligible.
The grace period begins March
17, 2003 and ends March 31, 2004.
You can ONLY apply ONE TIME
during your grace period.
Once you apply, you must finish the process. It will be easier to
get back on TennCare
during your grace period than if you wait and apply later
on.
The sooner you apply, the sooner
you may be able to get your TennCare back.
If you receive SSI or Families
First payments, you have TennCare Medicaid.
This grace period does not apply to you. You still have TennCare.
